Holy Land Experience

The Holy Land Experience is a 15-acre living, biblical history museum that takes you more than 3000 years back in time to the land of the Bible. It is an educational, inspirational, theatrical and historical presentation. The Holy Land Experience authentically recreates the city of Jerusalem and its religious importance between the years 1450 B.C. and A.D. 66, by blending sights, sounds and tastes that transport guests 7,000 miles away. As soon as you step through the gates of the “walled city,” you will be totally immersed in ancient Jerusalem. At The Holy Land Experience, there are several different exhibits with both indoor and outdoor activities, which are aimed at recreating the time in which Jesus lived. At certain exhibits, no filming or videotaping is permitted, and food and beverages are not permitted to be brought into the park. Wheelchairs are available, free of charge, on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Holy Land Experience is open every day of the year, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and is located in Orlando, alongside Interstate 4 immediately off the Exit 78 ramp.

Kenenedy Space Center

Located one hour driving from Kissimmee, The John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is one of ten National Aeronautics and Space Administrationfield centers, and is NASA's Center of Excellence for launch and payload processing systems.[2] Located on the east coast of Florida, KSC is adjacent to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS). The management of the two entities work very closely together, share resources, and even own facilities on each other's property.

KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of human spaceflight since December 1968. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttleprograms were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC. Though the first Apollo flights, and all Project Mercury and Project Gemini flights took off from CCAFS, the launches were managed by KSC and its previous organization, the Launch Operations Directorate.[3][4] Starting with the fourth Gemini mission, the NASA launch control center in Florida (Mercury Control Center, later the Launch Control Center) began handing off control of the vehicle to the Mission Control Center shortly after liftoff; prior missions held control throughout the entire mission.[5][6]

Short of becoming an astronaut, there’s no better way to get a glimpse of Kennedy Space Center than on the Kennedy Space Center Tour (KSC Tour). Take a NASA bus for a drive-by view of a launch pad and then experience the historic Apollo 8 launch site and marvel at a massive 363-foot-long Saturn V moon rocket at the Apollo/Saturn V Center.
The KSC Bus Tour is included with admission and departs every 15 minutes from the Visitor Complex. The tour is self-guided, allowing guests to depart the bus and spend as much time as desired at the Apollo/Saturn V Center before boarding another bus back to the Visitor Complex.
Tour Length: 1.5 - 2.5 hours
